Jenny MacKendrick lives and works in North Somerset, making art that moves freely between painting, drawing, pottery, zines, print and, occasionally, animation. She studied Drawing and Applied Arts at UWE, and hasn't really stopped since. Ideas tend to start with a drawing or a feeling, and find their own way to the right material. Sometimes that's a large-scale canvas. Sometimes it's a wheel thrown mug. Sometimes it's a small strange character who just needed to exist.
Whatever form it takes, Jenny's aim is simple: she'd like her funny art to leave you feeling warm and fuzzy.
When asked why she makes so many strange things, Jenny answered: "I can't not."
